Taiwanese Opera Tone
Since the founder, Lin Taiping, was originally from a Taiwanese
Opera
troupe before transitioning to puppetry, the troupe's spoken
lines
have a strong Taiwanese Opera tone. Not only in puppeteering and
positioning,
but the spoken lines, script dialogue, singing style, and character vocal
variations all bear traces of Taiwanese Opera. To maintain perfect vocal
conditions, troupe members must constantly protect their throats and are
even
forbidden from smoking. Thanks to this admirable professional spirit, the
puppetry is endowed with a new auditory layer, allowing the public to see
the
most spectacular performances.
